Hope all is well,
I have recently attended a Jackmans Network meeting with multiple partner agencies I work with, here is some of the things they offer.
Hertfordshire Health Walks Every Wednesday at 10:30 meeting at the Jackmans Community Centre, after the walk feel free to join for a coffee within the community centre. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the meet to register. This walk is suitable for buggy and wheelchair users and people recovering from illnesses. These are free to attend and are led by volunteers. They are also looking for new volunteers to support these sessions across Letchworth.
Youth Connexions Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Youth Council – Mondays 18:00 – 20:00 for young adults aged 18-25 with SEND. It gives the opportunities for people to express their views on issues important o them as well as contributing to the improvement of services and opportunities within their local communities and Hertfordshire. This project runs every week during term time at the Letchworth Young People’s Centre, Letchworth Town Hall, SG6 3PF.
GIGAMIX – Tuesdays - 18:30 – 20:30 for young adults aged 18-25 with SEND. GIGAMIX is a project for young adults with SEND including those with social and emotional mental health (SEMH) needs. The focus is on developing independent living / life skills. This project runs every week during term time at the Letchworth Young People’s Centre, Letchworth Town Hall, SG6 3PF.
Friday Night Project – Fridays – 19:00 – 21:00 for young people aged 14-17. The project is dedicated to supporting young people at risk of exploitation, crime, antisocial behaviour, or exclusion from their community. The project is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment in which these you people can get help with navigating challenges and building positive futures. This project runs every week during term time at the Letchworth Young People’s Centre, Letchworth Town Hall, SG6 3PF.
11-5 Hub – Tuesday & Thursdays, 11:00 – 17:00 for young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 for care leavers and those with SEND. This services offers information and advice and support on a range of issues, including mental, emotional and physical health, healthy relationships, sexual health, personal safety, smoking, drug use, apprenticeships and much more.
Letchworth Community Research Project Letchworth Community Research Project want to hear from you. They are inviting local residents to take part in a friendly, informal chat about what it’s like to live in the Southeast ward. They want to know: What do you love about where you live? What would you change if you could? What really matters to you day-to-day?
Whether you’ve lived here all your life or just moved in, alone or with family, whatever age, background, gender or circumstances, your voice matters. As a thank you for taking part they are offering participants either a pair of tickets for the Broadway Cinema or a family day ticket to Standalone Farm. Contact Kate at beedk@nhdcab.org.uk

All Saints Willian Church, Grief Café, which is an opportunity to come together each month to share support, hints and tips with others who have experienced a loss of someone in their lives. First Tuesday of the month 10:00 – 12:00 at the All Saints Church, SG6 2AF
Willian Food Hub There is tea to be drunk, people to meet and fresh food to be rescued. Every Wednesday between 13:00 – 14:30 at All Saints Church, Willian, SG6 2AF
Kings Community Church King’s Café every Friday 14:00 – 16:00, for all of the community, cuppa and a chat. Community Food Hub point within the car park open weekly for anything you may need. Kings Community Church, SG6 2PP. | ||
